MISS MAYHEM (Davisson-J 2014)

MISS MAYHEM pushes the boundaries on how tall and how big a daylily can get! The graceful 9 1/5 to 10" red spatulate blooms have twisting sepals, a darker red band, and veining at the petal tips. Sturdy scapes are 50" tall with wide spaced 3- to 5-way branching, 23 to 27 buds. Given lots of water and full sun, I have had as many as 46 buds. Blooming mid to late season, it takes the best from both parents LOUD GIRLS X HEAVENLY UNITED WE STAND. Hardy, dormant foliage and a bud builder. It's an easy pod setter during its bud building stage...excellent pollen all season....and it's fragrant, too! Getting past the pod reluctance of HEAVENLY UNITED WE STAND, the kids from MISS MAYHEM are all pod fertile. This is a sibling to last year's purple introduction of CONFESSIONS OF A HEMAHOLIC which is also pod fertile. Give MISS MAYHEM lots of space to grow!!! Tetraploid.
